At Osluce Photography we aim to work with you to capture that elusive portrait – the one you will look back at and think, wow! what was I doing then.. I remember feeling excited and great whilst engaging in this photo shoot, it was fun!
The portraiture images we create together are underpinned by excellence, through achievement of my being awarded an Associate of The Royal Photographic Society (ARPS) and additionally, a Masters Degree in Photography (MA Arts) from Falmouth University.
‘Brothers in Arms’ displayed at the prestigious Bristol RWA Art Gallery, which arose through success in their internationally acclaimed 172 Annual Open exhibition competition, may assure you of the quality and confidence we bring to you, if you choose us to be part of creating lovely, memorable imagery that captures that elusive character and quality often missing in many environmental portraits today.
My photography incorporates an interest in how identity and cultural belonging are expressed through what we wear. This work began with a portrait shot of a cool red-robed man at Falmouth beach.
As a result, I began to think about the seaside as a place where cultural identity and what we wear could be interwoven to express identity within an associated environmental context.
Therefore, I began shooting on the beaches and sea fronts around the English coast. It is my aim to relate visual story telling through environmental social portraiture.
Some photos from the work ‘Identity at the British seaside’ have been included here on this website for your viewing and contemplation.
If you have a project (or would be inspired by receiving much more characterful portraits) that you feel could benefit from my style of photography, then perhaps use this website’s ‘Contact Us’ form so that we can share ideas towards an interesting photographic theme.
Thanks again for passing by.
